M2500 Engine Controller

SELCO is preparing the launch of a brand new Engine Controller - the M2500.

The M2500 builds on the legacy of our pupular M2000 Engine Controller. However, the M2500 provides many new features and complies fully with the latest and strictest marine requirements.

Water Ingress Detection

According to SOLAS regulation XII/12 water level detection is required onboard all vessels with open cargo spaces. The SOLAS Convention in its successive forms is generally regarded as the most important of all international treaties concerning the safety of merchant ships. To help the marine industry meet the new standard, Selco has designed a system that is fully compliant with SOLAS XII/12.

The alarm equipment should provide a reliable indication of water reaching a preset level. In the following is described an application for Water Ingress Detection, which meets the requirements under SOLAS XII/12. The system is based on the Selco M1000 Alarm Monitor which successfully serves in many different applications.

SELCO at Customer’s Beck and Call

Last week SELCO received a compliment from one our customers, Bill Ross, Offshore Marine Services Ltd. in UK, thanking our shipping supervisor Hanne for her efforts she has done in arranging for a potentiometer to be cleared for delivery and sent off to Ghana on Friday afternoon.

Bill Ross says: “I have today checked with our shipping agent in Accra and they confirm that the package arrived on the Frankurt/Lagos/Accra flight as planned and our agents have identified the package and will have it cleared by customs and delivered to the vessel tonight. Many thanks for your very kind assistance. It has been a pleasure working with Selco.”
